Okay, we actually have a submission date for this Thursday, June 20, which is our Wednesday night. Praying that our dossier will be accepted!
In other news, many of you know I received a knock on the head a few weeks ago. I now have a concussion that is greatly limiting my activities. My physiotherapist says to expect it to take months to heal. You see the problem? We are hoping to travel in a couple months and I should be preparing and learning Russian. Instead, I am mostly resting. I am so thankful for prayers for healing, patience, and rest. Friends, please know that if you haven't heard from me for a while, that I am thinking of you and missing you and hoping to be back to my regular activities, including visiting and church, before long!
Ps 147:18 (msg) "He breathes on winter - suddenly it's Spring!" New life. Color, warmth, light. Hope.
MILLIONS!
There are millions of orphans in our world. That's millions of innocent children with no one committed to loving and teaching them as they grow. Far too many children aging out of their orphanages each year and expected to fend for themselves with no support and a great deal of stigma against their orphan status. There are many children with health issues who do not receive the medical care they need to survive or thrive. We believe that God, who offers to love and adopt each of us and meet our every need, longs for us to go and do the same. There are many hurting people in this world and many ways to help and we certainly don't expect that every person will pursue adoption. We do hope that more will.
Thank you Father that you don't give us more than we can handle. Thank you for your strength and patience when ours runs out. May Beth be able to rest in You. Please touch her with your healing hands. We pray for favor with every individual looking at John & Beth's dossier and smooth waters from here on in to the desired outcome of their new daughter coming home this summer! May it be so dear Lord. Amen
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your journey and inspiring many to follow in the Lord's footsteps more closely. Gert
Continuing in much prayer for you Beth; also for the papers which will be reviewed, hopefully, today or tomorrow.
ReplyDeletelove always,
