MILLIONS!

There are millions of orphans in our world. That's millions of innocent children with no one committed to loving and teaching them as they grow. Far too many children aging out of their orphanages each year and expected to fend for themselves with no support and a great deal of stigma against their orphan status. There are many children with health issues who do not receive the medical care they need to survive or thrive. We believe that God, who offers to love and adopt each of us and meet our every need, longs for us to go and do the same. There are many hurting people in this world and many ways to help and we certainly don't expect that every person will pursue adoption. We do hope that more will.

There's a whole world under our feet!

The first two days we explored our neighborhood, we frequently had the unpleasant experience of crossing crazy busy streets where pedestrians were not given any right-of-way. The saying here is, " You're not a good driver if you can't make four lanes out of three."  Day three we discovered that all the stairways heading down were not all subway entrances but actually a way to pass under those wild intersections.  Not only that but once beneath downtown Kiev, pathways headed off in every direction, littered with countless little shops.  Add to this picture full two story underground malls!  The attached photo is where we had lunch two floors beneath the street.  Good Ukrainian food!  Also attached is a photo of where we did not eat!

  1. All I can make out is "Nazata HOUSE" in the signage. Restaurant looks good! Sounds so very interesting! Thanks for keeping us up to date this way - pictures especially take us right with you. Have a wonderful day - especially on Wed!
